Physical Education

INTENT

Our PE curriculum intends to:-

  • Give children the confidence to take part in a range of physical activities that become a central part of their lives, both in and out of school
  • Develop good citizenship qualities such as teamwork, fair play, responsibility, sharing and honesty
  • Develop the tools to make informed choices about healthy and active living
  • Provide children with the knowledge and skills to compete in a wide range of sports that they enjoy

Physical Education is about developing children's enjoyment, confidence and skill in physical activity and introducing them to the pleasures of sport. In our school we try to foster co-operation, toleration and self-esteem. We aim to promote an enjoyment of exercise that will, hopefully, be continued into adulthood as part of a healthy lifestyle.

We employ the services of Premier Education Premier Education, Sport, Arts and Wellbeing - Physical Activity Providers (premier-education.com)to provide expert coaching for all children during one session of PE per week and they also provide an after school club.
