This term, our topic is the Victorians. We will contrast everyday life during the Victorian period with modern British lifestyles and consider some of the major changes and their effects on the social, physical and cultural landscape. We will learn about significant people and events and become familiar with historical sources and accurate vocabulary relating to this period.

In English, our learning will be linked to ‘Queen Victoria’s Bathing Machine’ by Gloria Whelan.  Poor Queen Victoria! She loves to swim, but can't quite figure out how to get to the water without her devoted subjects glimpsing her swimming suit. Our job is to help her.
