Admission to Primary Schools for September 2023
Apply for a school place – Before you apply - Lincolnshire County Council
The Governors' policy on admissions is for children to start school in the September before their 5th birthday. Information about how to apply is available from Tedder School or RAFA Kidz Pre-School. Parents are able to apply after the 16th November and should look on the Lincolnshire County Council website for further information. However, because of our position on the military base, we do accept intake throughout the year to help families who are constantly on the move.
The school has developed a programme of liaison with the RAFA Kidz Pre-School. Visits are made to the playgroup by the Early Years Coordinator and/or the Early Years Teacher to meet children and staff in the Spring Term. The staff will also visit children from surrounding nurseries where necessary.
Pre-school visits are available for all children in the Summer Term. We like our pre-school children to spend one morning in the current Reception class. Parents are also invited to a New Parents meeting in the Summer Term. At this visit, the Early Years Teacher will discuss the school's Early Years Policy and the way in which the school day is structured is explained and discussed.
