Tedder C P School

Class 1 Spring Work

Our topic for the Spring Term was called ‘Bright lights, big City'. We learnt all about London landmarks, the Royal family and maps.  We had lots of fun drawing landmarks and making 3D models of our favourite structures.

We also really enjoyed taking part in different activities to celebrate Chinese New Year. We made Chinese dragons, tasted Chinese food and were lucky enough to have a visitor into school to teach us some Mandarin and show us some Chinese artefacts.

In Maths this term, one subject area we have really enjoyed is time.  We talked about different activities we do at different times of the day then  we made our own clocks and used them to tell each other what time it was.

During book week we studied traditional stories including Jack and the beanstalk, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and the Three Little Pigs.  We made our own fantastic characters using wooden spoons!  We also really enjoyed getting dressed up to celebrate World Book Day.

Well done Class 1 on a great term! Hope you have a lovely Easter. Mrs Hunter and Mrs Sturton.
